about
If I’m Alive marks the introduction of Old Coast’s new sound as the first single to be released off our upcoming debut record, Middle Man The accompanying music video, directed by Luke Dumke, features a call and response between songwriter Asher Deaver, and band mate, Nik Singleton as they contemplate their unrealistic wants and desires over a closed bar top late into the early morning. Middle Man is set for an August 25, 2018 release date along with a record release show and celebration at Sunset Tavern, Seattle, with locals, Maltby and KT Neely.
I want a job where I make a lot of money
and waste it all easy in a matter of time.
I want a bartender calling me honey
as if she cared I was there till the end of the night.
I need a drink. A glass of water.
I want to wake up tomorrow with bags under my eyes.
A little drunk.
A little high and my heart's still wandering,
I don't know why.
I want a girl that no one ever wanted
who will leave me alone whenever I'm not at home.
I want a lover I can love when I want to
and never again unless I'm drunk or I'm alone.
I need a drink.
A glass of water.
I want to wake up tomorrow with bags under my eyes.
A little drunk.
A little high and my heart's still wandering,
I don't know why.
If I'm alive after what came over me,
I've got a feeling I would do it again.
If I'm alive, well then would you marry me?
I've got a feeling I would leave you either way if you did.
What came over me?
What came over me?
I want a lover I can kiss her if I miss her
and wake up in the morning to a coffee and a beer.
I want a dealer I can call and he'll deliver
and hook me up cheap, and other times free.
